I don't follow Tucker closely. I have always found him annoying. I think he can be very right and also very wrong. I am very suspicious of him as well. His unfounded claims that Signal is compromised and then promotion of Telegram smell fishy to me. That said I have never heard him claim "democracy" is broken. But I have heard this droned about endlessly by the left in the US for the last 8 years. Personally I'm not a fan of democracy in the first place and most right wing Republicans are wary of it as well. That's not to say they are opposed to elections. Most are in favor of a more Republican system with less direct popular vote. In fact that is more like early American government.
