Theres a chart I saw recently that I can’t get out of my head
I know there's a much deeper point being made, but when the video starts off with asking Americans about a percentage distribution over quintiles of people, I was pretty sure the answers were going to be ridiculous.

I think inequality is something people have a really hard time thinking about.
If you changed it from wealth quintiles to age quintiles, I think people would actually do better at estimating wealth inequality. Poor people tend to be young and in debt, while older people have had time to accumulate assets and tend to be wealthier.
