Welcome to OpSec Academy, a Digital Playhouse Foundation initiative led by Kieran Nolan, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in Operation Security (OpSec). Our academy serves as your premier destination for mastering OpSec practices. Through comprehensive workshops and open course materials, we provide individuals with the essential knowledge and skills to safeguard their digital lives effectively. From safeguarding personal data to fortifying sensitive information, our courses cover a diverse range of topics suitable for beginners and advanced users alike.
In light of recent statistics revealing alarming figures of scams in Australia, with reported losses totalling $73,252,400 and 67,734 incidents, it's evident that education is paramount. At OpSec Academy, we recognise that authentic education is the best defence against such threats. Therefore, our hands-on workshops and educational resources empower participants to take charge of their digital security, enabling them to implement robust defences independently. We're committed to equipping everyone with the necessary tools and expertise to navigate the complexities of the digital world securely, ensuring they're well-prepared to mitigate the risks of scams and cyber threats.
OpSec Academy issues updates exclusively on Nostr, verifiably with npub1rmmpspw0xl49azz5nkttyaxrxl52w2ahpxf4zkch2d4pfuvrztxqwj44w2. Any other claims or updates purported by entities on different social media platforms under the OpSec Academy name should not be trusted.

Feedback on this program most welcome! :) (target audience: pre-coiners/normies that need help)
The curriculum page is marketed as an original material but just contains 6 links to other project's docs. Sus. https://opsecacademy.org/curriculum.html

Yeah purposefully - the idea being you can go and learn this stuff on your own.. same with the hardware...
It's the basics of what I'll be covering in the workshops. 🙂
reply
You say things like "The curriculum offers a comprehensive introduction to Nostr" and then just have a link to the https://nostr.com/get-started. This is all hype and no novel material that makes me doubtful of everything else.
reply
I take your point, what would be a better phrasing then?
reply
A curriculum is broadly defined as the totality of student experiences that occur in the educational process.
reply
I would honestly just remove the entire Curriculum tab, it adds no value.
And make it more clear that your offering workshops and not online guides. I would change this: Through comprehensive workshops and open course materials, we provide individuals with the essential knowledge and skills to safeguard their digital lives effectively.
reply
Yeah thanks for the feedback maybe I'll rename to 'resources'
I was initially going to run it as v4v like tsobtc.. but normies don't seem to understand the concept, they only appreciate things they pay for up front.
reply
Great work. I look forward to seeing this grow.
reply
Great idea and I like the curriculum and the hardware for sale. Why did you choose not to include SeedSigner or Start9?
reply
So it's aimed at nocoiners/normies - I've seen so many friends and family getting scammed and hacked... I feel like they aren't ready for Bitcoin yet - they need basic OpSec skills first if that makes sense?
Theschoolofbitcoin.com is my BTC edu project 🙂
