He was made to bend the knee. He's back now, I think. He made some sort of an appearance in China recently.

In a way. They swapped CEOs a couple. times. He's still owns it, but got a huge can of act right, so he does now.
I don't know the details, but he's not calling the shots anymore.
If I remember correctly, he had to give away his company, and then he left China in a hurry. Ended up in Japan teaching for a while.
For a while I thought he was permanently disappeared!

I remember reading that he might have been imprisoned for a while in china. After that, China had him do a public appearance to show he wasnt dead. He was so thin. Then sometime after that he reappeared in Japan.
I know that he was teaching in Japan. Im talking about Jack Ma in this instance. lol
