One thing I was thinking about, that you might have to be a native speaker to catch, is the interesting way English incorporates synonyms from other languages.
For example, "salsa" and "curry" both basically mean sauce in their native languages, but in English they refer to the sauces that are customary in those places.
You will make an interesting kind of economics professor.
I can imagine you giving this kinda fun trivia in between dishing out econs theories.

I share your interest in language and this is just something I noticed.
The fact that language can emerge and adapt and provide so much utility, without anyone being in charge of it, is very compelling to me.
