One of the first TV shows that comes to my mind is "Friends". For me, it was fantastic from the first episode to the last one!
I would also mention another one that I like so much, "The Blacklist".
What about you?

It was a great one, too!

The Wire. People can argue season 5 was weak, but that's only in comparison to the other 4, it was still great.

Couldn't agree more. I initially thought Season 5 was less than stellar, but having seen the whole series a few times now, I've come around and really enjoyed it the last time through. While seemingly unrealistic, the newsroom perspective was great. I actually struggled more with the Season 3 storyline in the end.
reply
Yeah, people also hate on Season 2. Which upon multiple rewatches actually get better and is super important for the overall story. The show in general gets better with multiple watches. It's easy to get caught up with all the different story lines and characters, that upon a second watch you are familiar enough to catch all the Easter eggs and connections, all the pieces matter!

Haven't finished it yet but have been hooked on Ted Lasso as of late.

I think it flounders a bit at parts in the middle, but I thought it was great overall and ended pretty well.
It was such a great show for this cynical time we're living in.

Not counting one-season shows (which didn't get a chance to suck):
The Good Place, The Wire, The Sopranos, Deadwood.

The Good Place was one that came to mind for me.

I am watching the Lower Decks and have to admit through 2 and a half seasons it has been an absolute SMASH in every episode!
reply
There are definitely some stinkers in the mix, but it was generally really good throughout. The Lower Decks episode is one of my favorite episodes of tv.

The Expanse Rick and Morty What We Do In The Shadows Good Omens

I haven't seen Good Omens, or the latest season of Rick and Morty, but those are great choices.

The first season of what we do in the shadows was hilarious.

Sopranos

Firefly, but it got canceled midway through its first season.
Freaks and Geeks, but it got canceled after one season.
reply
Love firefly. Even Serenity was good, though it understandably had to try and appeal to people who may not have watched the show. I had a ripped copy of the entire season. I even printed out DVD cases and stuff for it haha. Just found them and made another copy of those same DVDs while setting up my Plex server.
Edit: Freaks and Geeks was really enjoyable since you see a bunch of big names before they got really popular. Much like Wet Hot American Summer.

X-Files. Dexter. (We could disagree on when they ended though)

La casa de papel / Money Heist. Absolutely brilliant writing but wonder how many here have seen it?

I have seen it. It's definitely a wonderful TV show! El Profesor (The Prefessor) was briliant!

Yellowstone S1 is good

A lot I’d recommend already listed by others. I’d highly recommend Slow Horses - so far it’s been great. Gary Oldman is brilliant as per usual.

Friends was the first show that came to my mind.
I don’t mind admitting that I really really liked Sex and the City.

This might be controversial but as a huge Bones fan... I am gonna have to say Bones lol!
reply
That’s a high bar. I am not sure any show has been fantastic all the way through. Maybe if it had only 1 or 2 seasons but any series that had 5 or more seasons is going to have some sub par episodes/seasons.
