My parents-in-law just came over from Japan. In the middle of my school holidays.
Initially, I was not sure whether I would welcome the disruption to my much-anticipated days of freedom, since I would have to host them. But now I think any change in routine is good for a perpetually busy parent!

Good to change our routine every now and then. Also I find always interesting to spend some time with in-laws.

That's a good attitude. I hope you can maintain it for the entire visit. My in-laws are here far too often for it to be a welcome disruption.
