I heard most would be done by 2026 for the anniversary. They have made a lot of effort in the last few years

I think that they estimated that date some time ago as it was going to be 100 years after Gaudi’s death. However, due to COVID and less tourism following restrictions, they have delayed the completion a few years. The following link explains it, though in Spanish.
Plans are to complete Jesus’ tower by 2026, which will be the tallest one in the cathedral (172 m)

I've been in awe of the Sagrada Familia since I was a young adult. It's got the kind of decadence victorians were after but it isn't for decadence's sake. It's absurd and organic and original.

I visited in 2022. It’s feels decadent in a way I couldn’t quite comprehend. It is amazing, weird, gothic, historic and religious all in one breath. If you find yourself in Barcelona it is worth doing a tour and visiting his other buildings as well.

I visited Spain years ago but spent most of my time in the southwest. I hope to make it to Barcelona some day.

So many places to visit in Spain!! Definitely Barcelona is worth a visit.

Agreed! Big country and lots of things to see.

It is, but even more impressive to stand in front of it. That year we could not visit it as it was necessary to book tickets well in advance. The good thing is we have now an excuse to go back once it is finished.
