NixOS 24.05 (codename "Uakari") and nixpkgs 24.05 are now publicly available, thanks to the efforts of over 2400 contributors.

Highlights of the release include GNOME 46 with an enhanced Files app and OneDrive support, and Plasma 6 with new defaults, refreshed Breeze, and HDR support.

The 23.11 "Tapir" release is now deprecated and will reach end-of-life on 2024-06-30, so users should schedule upgrades accordingly.

A retrospective meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2024, and contributors are invited to join the release management room to participate.
