I would like to see a movie/series this weekend about fighting or that has good combat scenes, something like the Battle of the Bastards, Bloodsport, Bruce Lee movies, or similar, any recommendation is good.
I would love to read your recommendations.
What came to mind from the title is the final fight scene in V for Vendetta, but that's more because of how badass it is, rather than how great the choreography is.
I would recommend any Tony Jaa film, but Ong Bak is the one that comes to mind, if you're looking for awesome martial arts scenes.
Ong bak? I've never heard of that movie, I'm going to see a trailer and I'll tell you
Go check out Ip Man on Netflix.
Ip Man was the grandmaster of Wing Chun and Bruce Lee's teacher.
I've been meaning to watch Ip Man for a long time.
It looks great! how come I didn't know this actor Tony Jaa...
He's criminally underrated.
I think it convinced me hahaha
I'm going to check that one right now.
+1 for Ong Bak
Won't compare to Game of Thrones battle scenes but The Last Kingdom on netflix is pretty damn good.
Both viewed :(
Bruce Lee Fist of Futy. I also like the fight scene in the Matrix where Neo is fighting all the agents.
I've seen both films, I think I still have Bruce Lee films to explore.
Have you guys watched Equilibrium?
That has a bunch of gunkata in it!
Epic movie.
I've never heard of it, Is it new?
its old.
Drunken Master!
I had forgotten about that movie, I've never seen it, but my father was a big fan, I think I'll have to see it soon, thanks for the recommendation, I'll keep it in mind
This one is really good.
Especially with Jackie Chans voice dubbed.
Did they ever do a version with his real voice?
The Raid: Redemption is great
You can watch '300', Hercules or any other movie depicting Greek mythology.
Thanks, 300 I've already seen it, Hercules I don't remember now if I've seen it :)
Eastern Promises, best hand to hand fight scene ever, 1 vs 2.
Is it a series or movie?
Without a doubt the fights of the Wing Chun master - Ip Man. His fights in the first movie are fascinating.
Second recommendation from IP man, I already saw some scenes I think I could see it this weekend
The Raid (I and II)
The Man from Nowhere)
The Night Comes for Us
The Man from Nowhere
The villainess
Chocolate
Oldboy
I saw the devil
The roundup: no way out
Kill zone 2
IP man series
District B13
Avengement
From paris with love
Crank
The Beekeeper
RRR
The Punisher tv series
Daredevil tv series
Hanna
Atomic Blonde
What a good list, I've seen some of them, but I have work to do here, which is the one you recommend the most of all the ones mentioned?
If you're angry and want something gritty, Avengement.
If you want something fucked up, Oldboy.
If you want to see shitcoiner scammers getting murked, The Beekeeper.
The half dozen at top are all great east asian martial arts intensive movies. The Night Comes for Us is pretty good for volume of fight scenes.
There was one other movie I couldn't remember that I wanted to include that I can barley remember that had a fight scene between two female characters where one used a knife on a chain, and one of the characters kills the other.
Kung Fu Panda
Sorry, About the mess!!Sorry, About the mess!!
view on youtu.beThanks for the recommendation! Sadly I've seen this one lol
First and foremost a disclaimer on how I rate movies and series in general.
When I get goosebumps, it's freaking good!
Okay now that that's out of the way. As well as my memory and memory of getting goosebumps serves me, this particular movie series has great fight scenes as well as just being a great series all in all!
All of the fighting scenes in the live action adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin. I would highly recommend you watch all of the movies but if you're pressed on time here are some of the fights.
view on www.youtube.comI've seen 3 fights from the video you showed me so I don't spoil so much hahaha, I guess it's a series right? I liked that it's about Samurai, and it's not too exaggerated or with a lot of special effects.
Hand-to-hand or firearms?
For the former, I'm partial to the ladder fight in Jackie Chan's First Strike. For the latter, nothing beats the final showdown in the church in The Killer for me.
I really liked Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon - all the fight scenes particularly the tournament ones.
One of Bruce Lee's best movies without a doubt.
Movie:
Ip man (1+2)
Series/anime:
Afro samurai
Kung Fu Hustle
The Raid: Redemption
