I remember a coworker telling me that they made a special edition that had a manual transmission.
Older cars a many times more simple to use and operate.
I love the beetle, and if you put a porsche engine in it....:D
I live in Brazil so most cars here are still manual :)

Yeah, I prefer manual. Off course it's less comfortable but maintenance is cheaper
