I was recently saddened to see that my Wendy's app 4 for $4 deal which I thought was the only thing (along with costco hot dog) to be inflation proof since pre-pandemic just changed to 4 for $5 š
Blows my mind that McDonalds is "launching a new $5 menu"... I remember the dollar menu and how you could actually get a meal with it for a few bucks... I'm not even that old but geez....
The only reliable line of defense now is Costco chicken. If it falls to shrinkflation/inflation, then we are all done for.
unluckily, they opted for the third route...putting microplastics in us, straight to our veins, with cheaper packaging. But so far they've held on price-wise
The way they're limiting the Costco chicken is by not making as much of it, I've seen some seriously long lines in front of the chicken stand.
Getting meat patties at McDonald's is still a very reasonable option, it's about a dollar a piece. This is just the ground beef patties, cooked, without anything else. They're very tasty and work great if you're eating carnivore.
I'm always fascinated by how people and businesses adapt to inflation
Will we see a massive slimming down of people now?
Will we see more people dinning together at home in group settings?
Does fast food margins push users to sit down dining because might aswell go big when you leave home?
How do diets change now, do people move towards more filling foods instead?
And talking about luxury foods in America, I'm of the view that Americans eat more at McD, Do'z, KFCs because it's always been kinda fashion there. What do they call it. 'Fast Fashion' yeah,!
I don't know but these companies have trapped people. I had recently visited a Dominoz in India. As usual, it was overcrowded, but they only had 4 people as staff there. We had to wait more than an hour, so was everyone doing, and when I it was served, I can easily recognise that they have considerably shorten the size of Pizzas and then I looked at the bill there also they have increased it so much.
They are playing double games but people are addicted to them and can't help their taste and fashion!!
McDonaldās does an excellent job of trapping its consumers from a young age, though. My son clamours to have a Happy Meal set every week without fail so that he can get the āfreeā toy
