He got me thinking seriously about the various 'isms' - capitalism, socialism etc. Describes himself as a 'Conservative Liberal' which actually makes a lot of sense. These are not mutually exclusive terms. Cool guy. 🙏

In America, in particular, there's a very reasonable case that American conservatives should be (classical) liberals, since that was the founding tradition of our country (ignoring that slavery stuff).
