A lot of people seem to be forgetting he didn't do anything he said he was going to do last term so why do they expect he will follow through on his promises this term.
reply
Do you think all the shit that happened in his last term was a response to his doing nothing?
reply
Good question.
I don't know. He certainly elicits an insanity and desperation from his detractors, I guess taking all the arrows, still standing, still being able to rally a base is accomplishing something. I just meant more along the lines of draining the swamp, building the wall, making America a manufacturing powerhouse again, making allies contribute more to defense etc. Most of it didn't occur. But he did not get America into any new wars and did seem to at very least have mid east relations moving in a positive direction. Of course that got ripped to shreds as soon as the war hawks took over.
I am not a Trump hater or lover. I am just highly skeptical of any promises a politician makes to sway voters are actually priorities for them once they get elected.

The symptom of the swamp draining WAS the insanity and desperation. Once that fight started, everything else became a subset of that battle.

Agreed.

I like people that oppose Trump for actual reasons beyond he hurts my feelings.
