Fully agree, complacency is the maxis biggest enemy!

Can an argument be made that a listening node is x% more valuable to the network than a non-listening node?

What about a node that is not online all the time? Is there a linear decay in value, e.g. half the value if I only run it 12H a day, or is there a big gap in value between always online vs. only online 23H a day?
