Term 2 ended with a bang in NorthLight School. Our signature event, the Sports Fiesta, captured our students’ imaginations and activated their ‘play’ button. I had a great time chaperoning my class to try out the varied activities. The inflatable games were clearly their favourite as my students got to play with water and release their pent-up energies. However, this isn’t to say that they didn’t enjoy the less active activities, such as cricket and boccia, especially when cricket personnel from the Singapore Cricket Club were there to provide guidance. Amidst the frenetic activity, I enjoyed the sight of my students ‘lepaking’ at the grandstand, basking in companionable silence, watching the rest of NorthLight go by. Fond memories are made of this.
