I've built an expense tracker that is heavily privacy oriented. All your data is stored on your device, it works offline and you can also use it on multiple devices with real time sync (e2e encrypted).

Recently, I've implemented bunch of new features like detailed statistics and your custom defined categories. You can also export all your data in form of sqlite database whenever you want.

Have a look, you might find it useful. If you're missing a feature, let me know, I'll be happy to implement it!

me like it!
do you plan to add income tracker, to make it a full budgeting app?

reply

I've intentionally built it to track just expenses because that's what I care about but if there is a serious demand for income tracking, it surely wouldn't be too hard to implement.

reply

i hope you make YNAB obsolete ;)

reply

Great job but I will still stick with the old pen and paper.

reply

Thanks. That's fair :)

looks very cool. I'll give it a try.

I track my expenses, income and portafolio all together...just sharing an idea.

What benefits does this have over, say, a LibreOffice spreadsheet file?

reply

Easily accessible in the browser, no need to install anything. Real time updates between devices. Already programmed with categories and statistics which you'd have to setup yourself in LibreOffice. There are more but just to name a few.

For example, we use it with my wife, each on its own device but the same account.
