☑️ Improved editor ☑️ Mentions support ☑️ Reactions for soft-indications of agreement/disagreement with entries ☑️ No longer using deprecated partial pubkey matches ☑️ Include links to other versions of the same topics at the end of an entry
WikiFreedia: Wikipedia Proof-of-Concept on NostrWikiFreedia: Wikipedia Proof-of-Concept on Nostr
WikiFreedia is a proof-of-concept for a Nostr-based alternative to Wikipedia.
FeaturesFeatures
- View what others have written about;
- Edit anyone's version and make it your own (fork);
- Vote on which one is the "right" version (from your point of view);
- There is no canonical entry for any topic because no one is playing God (other than the woke editors of Wikipedia)
Hmm, one significant disadvantage that I see right away is that Wikifreedia doesn't work at all without Javascript. Wikipedia does, (although Javascript gives a slightly better experience) and so it works not only for people who prefer to avoid Javascript, but also for people who want to use it with text-only browsers.
