I recite this line to myself often. Prufrock is my favorite poem, great lessons in there. I'll add to your list Walt Whitman's "I wandered lonely as a cloud" or "Song of Myself."
Recently I was talking with someone about poetry. It almost holds no position in our culture, and so it gets assumed to be irrelevant. But I think people cling to poetry the moment that they need to. When you search it, you find it. At least I hope so, anyway.

I am much like you when it comes to reciting poetry. I often recite poetry, but have no favourite. I'm more of a wandering cloud alone in the sky.
Yes, you're right, our culture assumes poetry to be irrelevant but the songs are still quite popular and they are heading poetry in this era, imo.
