About mobile apps: Breez, Blixt and SBW are great non-custodial LN wallets that allow you to run a LN node on your phone. BlueWallet is nice to use as well, without the ability to run a node, but also can be non-custodial.

I think the airgap between phone (wallet) and pc screen (shop) is very elegant. It mirrors pre-internet real life.
Also feels much more secure for users.
I also feel like this was the way Lightning was intended or at least the direction Lightning development was striving towards

I'd like to have my lightning wallet on Graphene OS (A version of Android that doesn't have google installed) for more security though.

To people who are using zeus, and their own node, how reliable and quick are your payments? Have you ever compared the speed and reliabiliy with for example wallet of satoshi?

It all depends how you connect to your node. If you just use your IP it will be fast as hell. If you use VNP wireguard will be very fast too. If you behind TOR u sacrifice some speed and stability, but neverless my payments go through 10 sec very max and on average between 2 and 5 seconds. Depend also if the route is already know.
And of course if you have shitty ADSL (so bad upload) and family always using internet at home, don't think about it.

Pretty darn reliable. Have wireguard setup to my node and zeus runs as smooth as if it were connecting to my node from the local network (wireguard is pretty cool). Have sent sats in the range of millions and had no trouble, but depends on how well connected you are to other nodes, something that you don't have to bother about when using services like WoS. WoS also charges high fees is what I have heard. Essentially you are trading high fees and custodianship for ease of use and no maintenance.

For me it depends on the usecase. For a payment oriented use I prefer on a phone because of ease of use and mobility. For store of value use I prefer a desktop application with a hardware wallet because of security.
At first sight a browser extension seems to be the worst of both worlds, low mobility and low security. Of course it is not necessarily low security, but that is based on my personal impression of browser extensions in general.

Lightning means spending, that means you have to be mostly mobile to spend fast wherever you are.
But that doesn't mean on a desktop is not useful to use LN.
Hint: Blixt mobile node have already version for macOS and soon for other platforms.

I'm skeptical towards browser extensions.
But maybe that is bias because I hate browser extensions in general (only adblock, no-script and 2-3 curl/rest - like tools) and prefer native programs and dedicated full tools.
