I don't know if this has been said, didn't find any clues with the search.
Imo we should add a limit for members like 2 or 3 posts a day. If you want to copy paste and post 20 links a day, u will have to pay for it. What minimum amount of sats per post ? 100, 500 or 1000 ? It can force the users who don't want to pay to look for quality content source and post wisely, and the guy who wants to flood has to pay the price for it. Maybe he wants "to flood" only quality, then he'll be rewarded for it.
The current situation annoys me because one guy can pollute the recent posts in less than 5 minutes.

I agree. Something we’ll probably do in the next few weeks. We’re trying to figure out the right way to do this. I think we've settled on it getting exponentially expensive as you post multiple times within an hour. e.g. first post is 1 sat, next is 10, then 100 and so on if they’re within an hour of each other.

Great, exponential is a good solution. 1 hour is too short window no ? If the guy decides to spam garbage all day it will cost him 24 sats. Theory of course.

Another variable that could be added into the computation would be user trust. e.g. user with higher trust would still experience exponentially expensive posts, but either lower amounts, or the counter would reset faster (higher trust - resets after 1hr, lower trust - resets after a day)
But this may be harder to explain, so basic exponential backoff is probably better...

why not 24 hours and 1,2,4,8,… increments

They could have 60 accounts and post every minute for lowest price though.

On chain transaction fee to fund every new account? Although I guess if accounts can be funded with lightning...not a barrier at all...
reply
Yeah ... We're not at this point yet, it takes time and energy. This problem will become critical when way more people comes

Prices could be even more dynamic. Statistical spam detection or maybe the web of trust.

Not informed on the subject at all.

Genius. Well done. Bravo. Yes. Another option would be to limit posts for a period of time (like for an account’s first week). But I like yours better.

I kind of welcome any ideas in this thread !
