Deep-down, I'm a believer in determinism. I think most physicists are.
Yet, as doing this made (my) life somehow pointless and depressing, I decided to believe in free will. Yes, I know it is paradoxical to talk about decision in this context, but it's the best I can do. Now I can freely read books by Tim Ferris or other self-help gurus and think I have control over what I do today and tomorrow. But in the end, I know I don't, yet I decide to believe I do.
It's true what they say. There is bliss in ignorance.
