Reason why the US government would never want to kill BTC. They hold over 1% of the supply themselves its a nice little insurance fund that they can tap into from time to time.

For long I thought that there was a procedure to liquidate all seized bitcoin to dollars, but it seems that the US government can just hodl the Silk Road coins indefinitely?
I wonder who decides or advises on the timing of the sales that happen? They have hired a technical analyst to time the sales?

So with typical assets there is a method to the madness of selling the government follows. BTC though doesn't really follow the same rules as well people will panic if the government does stuff so its a catch-22 for the government.
