So far I've only set up and installed.
It surprised me that all the plugins I've ever installed are all there. JSON, Tailwind CSS, Python, ESP-IDF, Prettier, React Native Tools, Svelte, Chrome debugging, HTML/CSS, Haskell, Rust, Go, Dart, Flutter etc.
I joke to people that I'm not a dev, just a compiler. But I find as I learn, I pick up the some basic syntax of code. So, I can't comment much, I guess I'll find out through time. But so far I find it is the best IDE I've used. Not just because the UI is intuitive, or code snippets, highlighting and formatting, but also because it seems snappy compared with Netbeans, IntelliJ and VSCode, consistently across OS and hardware.
I've switched over to it on Debian, Ubuntu and macOS, easy to install with apt and brew package managers.
Thanks again for posting this. I'd have been still banging my head against the wall with the other contenders.
This is valuable feedback, thanks. And kudos for coming back to post it here.
