The Wolfpack Returns
What a performance by the Minnesota Timberwolves last night. Incredible. The Nuggets had a terrible shooting night but the Minny D was excellent, rebounding was outstanding, they played with energy and urgency. Game 7 will be fun. I don't expect the Nuggets to roll over and die, especially on their home court.
Congrats to our friend @BTC_Bellzer whose NY Rangers finished off the Carolina Hurricanes last night to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. I am guessing he was sweating a little after NY took a 3-0 series lead and then proceeded to lose the next two and go down 2 goals in game 6. Speaking of NHL, how are you feeling @gnilma? Canucks are almost there.
Knicks and Pacers tonight and a couple game 6s in NHL. The final four picture in each league could be clearer after tonight.
MLB Survivor Pool Week 8 (wow, time flies) pick post coming up shortly from @MLBofficialscorer.
Sats for all, GR
Yes I'm pretty happy now but I was definitely worried

Panthers are going to be a tough matchup. How are you feeling about it?
reply
Panthers are a solid team top to bottom but I think NYR have the better and hotter goalie

Should be a good series for sure.

The second I started to have a little hope CAR came right back in the series so I'm back to expecting to be let down

Last night's blow out surprised me. I thought the Nuggets were going to wrap it up, but turned out they were the ones that got wrapped early in the game. Really hard to say who will win in game 7. Hopefully it's going to be a hard fought tight game and not another blow out. Tight games are more fun to watch.
Speaking of Canucks, I was cheering and jumping up and down in front of my screen when Miller scored that goal with 32 seconds left in the game. Check out the "shot" off the skate of Pettersson though. I think he twisted his heel and directed the puck towards the goal on purpose. This guy can probably try football if hockey doesn't work out for him. Good thing it hit the post and didn't go in, because it that had gone in, it's going to get reviewed to the death and still be controversial regardless of the ruling.
Overall, the Canucks played a really strong game last night and got a well deserved win. I believe it was the first game that they out shot the Oilers in the series. I hope they keep this momentum going and go steal one in Edmonton to win the series tomorrow. Go Canucks go!

Yes, I thought for sure it was headed to OT. In fact I missed the game winning goal because I was watching the TSN tribute to Darren Dutchyshen.

Oh man, he passed away a few day ago, I had no idea. I'm not familiar with him, but do remember seeing him a lot on TSN.
reply
He hosted Sportscentre on TSN for 30 years. Very prominent figure in Canada sports.

I'm back to being uncertain about the Minnesota-Denver series. I put a little down on Minnesota, because they're substantial underdogs. I don't see why either of these teams would be strong favorites, at this point.
reply
Really? I wouldn't expect them to be big dogs after last night. Denver at home so it makes sense the line swings their way but would have thought it would be close.
reply
Maybe they know something I don't know. Minnesota was a heavier favorite than I thought they should be last night.
