Really hard to make people adopt SimpleX in my area. I did the titanic job of advocating for Signal and now nobody wants to install another app, sadly. SimpleX is pretty good, I'd love to use it more.

Yeah I had a hard enough time getting people to switch to Signal a few years ago. In the end I only succeeded with one person. I can’t imagine the effort for SimpleX.

It is hard convince people even to try full featured apps as Telegram. But the upside of SimpleX it is easier because you don't need a phone number and many people really care of sensitive conversations.

One way to do it is to tell your friends that you only use certain apps. Which I've done for periods of time. Of course, you tend to miss more weddings and lose friends than actually get people to download an app haha.

Yeah I refuse to use Facebook Messenger so I miss out on so many things with friends and family.

Using it for chat. Works great. Still waiting for video or audio on desktop though.
