There's a lot of legacy talk going on right now with Jokic. Is it premature to be talking top 10 all-time with him? I know that in my entire basketball viewing life he's as dominant as anyone I've ever seen. My personal top tier of guys I watched is Jordan, Shaq, Lebron, and Jokic.
There are some reasonable longevity arguments for having Kobe and Duncan still ahead of Joker, as well.
Here's my all-time top 10 (not necessarily in exact order):
  1. Jordan
  2. Lebron
  3. Kareem
  4. Magic
  5. Bird
  6. Wilt
  7. Duncan
  8. Russell
  9. Shaq
  10. Kobe
Is there room for Jokic on there, somewhere?
He has more MVP's than Duncan, Shaq, and Kobe. However, all of those guys are multi-time champions.
I don't think he cracks the top 10 yet but I think if he plays at this level for another 5 years and wins a couple more titles and another MVP or two it will be hard to argue against him.

3 titles and 4 MVP's would be a better resume than Bird or Wilt.
If he wins a title this year, I'll be thinking seriously about how he stacks up with Kobe and Wilt. I know I'd pick Joker before either of those guys in a draft.
There was a piece recently about how he's the only guy to accomplish all of this without an all-star or all-defense teammate.

He is 29 so if he can stay elite into his mid 30s he will definitely be in the top 10.

A long time ago, I made a big psychotic spreadsheet to attempt to work this stuff out, but I haven't updated it in a while.
Here's a photo of me working on it:
