Suppose your paycheck arrives and you think you have all the bases covered but suddenly your currency depreciates to a level which makes you feel that it was nothing more than a few bucks. You can only hardly buy food for your family, but to worsen your plight government raises taxes in order to compete inflation but in reality to fund a war.
