Built in 1978 in Germany, the Bagger 288 is a monstrous machine used mainly in open pit mining. This colossus, valued at more than 100 million dollars, measures an incredible 220 meters long by 96 meters high, with an astonishing weight of 13,500 tons.
One of its main parts is the wheel, which allows the extraction of around 240,000 tons of material in one day of work, which is equivalent to a football field excavated up to 30 meters deep.
