If people and companies cut back on their energy usage, would it help the energy crisis, or is it insignificant?

To what extent is the crisis self-induced from shutting down all their nuclear power?

By 2030 they plan to be 85% sufficient on green energy.

I dont think that is bad....just maybe the way they are doing it isnt so great for the people in the short term.

Cutting back would mean lowering the standard of living even more

Normally not. But here in Spain yes

I felt that if people were a bit more conservative, used fans more than ac, the whole country would be cooler.
