Siggy’s SuggestionsSiggy’s Suggestions
It’s not often that an article from mises.org shows up in this territory. Although it got some attention, I can’t help but think it would have gotten more engagement if posted in the bitcoin territory. I have been reading every article I can get my hands on about the Samourai indictments, and this is one of the best. I did not know the Mises guys were focused on bitcoin. The legal analysis is first rate. Placing the prosecution in the context of the ETF launch highlights the big picture for all of us to see. It is worth taking the time to read.
I always enjoy reading about @speakingyourtruth’s adventure in Japan. For some reason this post didn’t get much engagement, but I really enjoyed it. I think it’s worth your time.
This week’s Golden Oldie:
Today’s Golden Oldie is from @elvismercury. I thought about this article a few weeks ago when having lunch with a friend. He and his wife are typical New Yorkers. He is a psychologist and she is a City College professor. He grew up in a secular Jewish family. They both are politically very liberal. They live in Morningside Heights, literally a block from Columbia University’s campus. We rarely see eye to eye politically, but I think it’s fair to say we both enjoy our back and forth banter. Our lunchtime conversation naturally turned to the Israel/Palestine situation. He felt threatened and scared by the violent protests. I pointed out to him that a few years ago he was literally a BLM protester who witnessed cars being burned and store windows being smashed while looters stole merchandise. He had excused those incidents as justifiable. He insisted this wasn’t the same. He feels unsafe in his neighborhood and is thinking of moving.
Later, I thought about how these recent events have caused me to seek out news sources I would never have paid attention to a few months ago. Politicians and pundits I despise suddenly sound like the voice of reason. Others I always agree with sound like stark raving lunatics. I don’t know if anyone else has had this experience. The only consistent news source for me is the New York Times. No matter the issue, the Gray Lady is always wrong.

Amazing! I think I've found what I needed.
What a huge library!
I am looking forward to learn more & more from this territory.
After reaching a few posts , I came to know that here are so many great writers.
Nice to meet you all!
It's all greek to me. ;)
😀😀
Welcome! I just read your bio. It would be wonderful to have you contribute to our discussions and I look forward to you submitting content.
Hey, glad to see my book is still here! I haven't gotten any purchases from "sats land" but fiat land has been responding. I wonder why that would be, since I would think crypto people would tend, on average, to be more "book reading oriented". If their behavior is being modified due to "Ease of purchasing ability" then that would be something to engineer a solution for if you really want to compete with fiat, no?
I'm glad you're at least getting some fiat purchases. Feel free to post again for promotion. There are probably not many eyeballs on the page here yet.
Yeah, I wasn't sure about self promotion as I did that I am A thing and somebody came on there and got kinda pissy about it although old school reddit it was a common thing. (Remember rampart anyone)? I don't want to crowd the channel, but I might do some strategic dropping here and there.
Whatever you are comfortable with is fine.
This newsletter is great! This is 'you can't miss it' kinda thing.
Thanks for mentioning me once again. I wish I could contribute more to ~Booksandarticles, These are busy days, my school is getting some renovations and it's also the beginning of new session here.
Thanks. I appreciate your submissions when you can find the time.
Congratulations! I'm going to read all top 5 posts again.
Thank you for the last. You're awesome, man!
Thanks for the forward but I can't zap now. I will phone a friend.
