What a great post!
Wealth is nowhere near the middle classes only because throughout history and now in our time it is being removed from them being transported to Elites. For me Elites are elites only due to this.

A healthy society might have elites worthy of that description, but ours is not such a society.

The middle class either needs to move up or move down because it is being eliminated. Most move down.

Yep. In market economies the middle class moves up. In planned economies they move down.

Yes, what I see at SN is a Utopia where noone is an elite. Everyone is same. Yes, ours isn't the same as historical society.
