State-provided gratuitousness is not only sterile but positively harmful, the exact opposite of the gratuitous goods provided by free and responsible citizens. The truth is that generosity and abundance flourish in a free economy.

My aunt told me a lot about this. She grew up in the south, where it is very poor, but they have a rich history of kindness. The poorer states are the ones that provide more charity that the states that have wealth. It is just a fact.

In my tribe we practice charity by seeking grace through being graceful. It starts with the individual, but networks do provide and exponential effect.
