The (admittedly not terribly original) idea:
Host your images on xyz dot com.
Provide a thumbnail for free.
Return 402 for full-size image
Else, Provide a full size image when payment provided.

Yeah, LSAT/L402 for the win! we need more adoption of this.
had experimented with it here a while ago: https://github.com/kiwiidb/insatgram
I like the free thumbnails spin. It's a protocol version of the freemium model.
Would SN consider adding this pay-per-view feature for full-sized images for users w/ Sats in their wallets who opted in to the functionality?
I wonder if there's any legal issues with selling access to photos in such a way?
I don't think there are legal issues.
For SN I don't think it really makes sense to charge for viewing images. Consuming/reading/viewing SN is free/open and we want to keep it that way.
We might let stackers paywall their stuff at some point, but I think paywalls suck.
Oh god, paywall is rubbish. We have enough paywalled gardens aka social media out there, stacker news does not need it.
Bang on!
Cool idea!
