Interestingly, if I look at my own comments in preview mode (while creating or editing), the image loads. Just not once it's actually posted.

Ohh, I see, it's because of the "only load images from proxy" setting. If I enable it, it also doesn't work for me.
Will look into it, probably a simple fix.
the setting is ignored during preview
