I'm not sure your characterization is accurate. He is difficult to place in a box ideologically.
He is a journalist first.
He doesn’t have an ideological box.
This is how journalists should be. We should not be able to place them in a box 🗃️. Same goes for teachers and professors and religious leaders such as a rabbi, priest, pastor, Sunday school teacher, etc
