3 Apples (700 g) chopped into cubes
3 large eggs
180ml of milk
150g sugar
A bit of salt
300g flour
80g melted butter
10g baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Vanilla extract
Lemon zest
Juice of one lemon
Method of preparation
Start by preparing the pie dough. In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
Add lemon zest, vanilla extract and melted butter.
Mix well until you get a crumb texture.
Line the bottom of a mold with this dough, pressing lightly to create the base of the pie.
Reserve.
Now, prepare the filling. Distribute the apple cubes over the dough base, spreading them evenly.
Drizzle the apples with lemon juice to enhance the flavor.
In another bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
Pour this mixture over the apples in the pan, making sure to cover them completely.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the pie for approximately 35-40 minutes, or until golden and velvety.
Time may vary, so do the toothpick test: insert a toothpick into the center of the pie; If it comes out clean, it's ready.
Remove from the oven and let the pie cool slightly before serving.
It can be enjoyed hot or at room temperature. Enjoy!
