Ding dong the leafs are gone.
I have to give them credit. That was a hell of a series.
Definitely. I must admit they really didn't choke.

No they played pretty well after game 4. Terrible, lazy back checking on the winning goal but their D in this series was actually really good.
Before overtime I texted my buddy and said "I think OT is better for the Bruins" and he responded "what do you mean the Leafs won game 5 in OT" and I said "The Bruins changed their style of play in game 5 OT and tried to run and gun with the Leafs and ambush them to score an early OT goal. It was a calculated risk to try to end the series and it backfired, they won't do it again. They will keep playing a tight checking game and get pucks toward the net and wait for the Leafs to make a mistake."
While I was impressed that the Leafs didn't totally choke/collapse I still incurred an unhealthy amount of joy watching them lose in OT of game 7. It felt like a bit of redemption for me after the 49ers lost the superbowl in OT. Haha.

Good analysis. The Bruins are tough when they pop lay their tight checking and d first game. One of my only recent hockey joys was when the Isles bounced them a few years back. The Leafs impressed me. Maybe they played so well because expectations weren't sky high this year. Like I said before, the Bruins are tough to root for.

We can all go back to rooting against the Bruins now. Although I do like their uniforms.

Their uniforms are classic. All original six are pretty nice.

Agreed. The Leafs have really nice uniforms too. One of the few redeeming things about them.
