My Step-Father got me started, by taking me to the Florsheim store from the 8th grade. My mom was like why are you buying that boy $98 shoes? Pops said he needs to know good shoes and to take care of his feet. It stuck.

Oh wow, you also like the same shoes I do. Do you like all the nails in your heel? Once my sons feet stop growing, I think I will buy him a pair of iron rangers.

The quality of those has gone down so much. I bought a pair, and the inside only lasted a few years. And they are very terrible on ice, you can easily eat snow suddenly.
