Is bitcoin a brand registered in all countries? If so, by who? What happened if a malicious company/person use the name of bitcoin to make ponzi schemes or fraud? Who can make a demand?

Cryptocurrency is a common word but bitcoin is a brand and an invented name. In fact, it was decided in the Cypherpunk forum.

Nope.
The word bitcoin was defined in a white paper published on 31 October 2008. It is a compound of the words bit and coin.
And since then is a common word.
