"Crypto" the origin of the word is about hidden stuff. Hidden stuff is private. Whatever else you are talking about, if it isn't private it isn't really crypto.
The non private alternative is just called "money".
I said the same thing and Darthcoin piped in with how Monero is a shitcoin. I said and say again, bitcoin is not offering any privacy as such by default.
