I'm not even sure what it is about the Mavs. I just realized that I usually root for whoever they're playing against.
Were you rooting for the Mavs when they made their title run with Dirk?
Maybe Dirk was just a lot more likeable than Luka. Something about Luka irritates me, similar to the way Lebron irritates me. Both incredible players but hard to root for unless you are a fan of their teams.
