Hello Sports Stackers!

The ~Stacker_Sports Fantasy Football League is still open for players to join! See this post for details #473247

Since the NFL Draft has happened and the dust has settled, it's time to kick that energy back up and get hyped up all over again for the Fantasy Football Draft!

So far our Contenders are:

We have space for more but I will be closing up at draft time. I intend on drafting Sunday 12th (I'm flexible on the date and time). At 1900 Eastern Daylight Time!

@BTC_Bellzer and @siggy47 you both expressed interest in playing but haven't yet joined, did you want in? It'd be great to compete and have fun with you both.

@grayruby @Undisciplined @StillStackinAfterAllTheseYears @tnuts420 @HardMoney I'm able to delay the draft until whenever if that works for people to allow more time closer to the season for people to join.

I'm happy to draft on Sunday at about 7/8ish ET but I'm also good to push it back closer to the season.

8 would be ideal I think. 6 is fine, but 8 would be ideal. Just need to peer pressure Bellzer and siggy 🤣

Yeah the auction mock draft is really helpful. Just gives you an idea of how things go and how to use the site.

I don't want to take up everyones whole evening with the draft so I'm thinking of limiting the pick clock to 1minute?? If that feels to long we can drop it to 30seconds, but that might be too quick for everyone to get bids in. We'll play it by ear a little I think.

It'll be an auction start up draft so it'll be quite a few. Got full rosters to fill out. 27 rounds according to sleeper. I expect it to take a couple hours? Hopefully no more than 2hrs. Each round should consist of 8 (assuming the league gets to 8 players) picks. And we've got every spot to fill. Including taxi squad for rookies.

Rookies taxi squad will work fairly similarly to the NFLs practice squad, but only for rookies, they will be able to be elevated and placed back to taxi as many times as you like so long as they're still rookies.

My schedule's messed up enough (dealing with some issues around health caretaking) that I'm not sure I can commit to a specific time, but I'm comfortable setting my preferences and letting the CPU picks have their way if I can't be there.

I can push it back to closer to the season for you? Give you time to let things settle down. Maybe August? I'd just have to draft at 1am my time (which isn't a problem, I can make that happen).

Tells ya what, I'll punt it back, give you time to let things settle and also give me time to gather more players. You got important things going on, don't want you feeling like you gotta find a couple hours to draft aswell. (And I wouldn't want you to miss the draft, draft day is as fun as Christmas!)

Thank you for the offer! If it's not an inconvenience to others, that would be great, but since the caretaking stuff is an ongoing thing, I don't want folks to mess up their plans if it turns out I can't make it later.

(That said, if it also helps get more players, sounds like a win either way!)

When push comes to shove further down the line, if you still can't draft in person, that's fine, we'll work around that. 👊 Keep eyes on the inapp chat for when we set a proper date.

There's always injuries to consider drafting early for sure. But then that just makes the waiver wire competitive which is fun.

I have no clue what I'm doing, and I haven't had time to learn. I didn't even follow the draft this year. However, if it's possible to just wing it and learn on the fly, I'm willing to be cannon fodder.

It is absolutely possible to wing it and learn on the fly.

I started playing because some mates of mine needed an extra in a home league. I'd never watched a game before at that point. I joined and learnt on the go, it gave me personally a very enjoyable experience watching the NFL afterwards because I had a player from pretty much every team, giving me something to root for in all the games making them all interesting to me.

Don't worry, as the league commissioner, I'm going to be very lenient on accidental roster drops, or terrible trades. I'll ask people "did you mean to do that" and if not, I'll undo it. We're here for fun at the end of the day, not to beat on each other.

Not from a roster point of view, trades etc ;) but y'all can say what you want to each other 😜.

Obviously we want fun so there's going to be a fair bit of banter, but I ensure new guys aren't getting ripped off in places, otherwise it just saps the fun out of it.

Ideally 8 would be perfect. But I think I can find one more. @BTC_Bellzer expressed an interest a while back, perhaps they're still interested.

If not I think I can find 1 more, I'd like to keep it to SN users, but if that's no good, then I can find a fill in until an SN user wants to adopt. Or until we orange pill the other guy 😜

Some of the rules, to do with playoff spots, etc really depends on the league size so I'll need to wait for it to be filled before some details can be finalised.

Yeah, rule 1 don't be an ass ... Rule 2 not everyone has the same experience, don't rip off other players in a trade.

I hadn't really thought much about rules because the platform itself is pretty self policing. But I can definitely put a post together detailing (need to get my brain in gear after a day of work) the format.
