Cone came over the next year and was a huge part of the '88 team that crashed and burned in the NLCS against the Dodgers. Some fantastic seasons in his prime. Frank Viola came over in '89 and was damned good for a few seasons, too (even if the team fell off quickly).

Those Braves teams were amazing. Of course, as a Mets fan, I'm pretty partial to the '86 Mets, where Gooden, Darling, and Ojeda all turned in sub-3 ERAs, and Sid Fernandez and Rick Aguilera (before he became a great reliever) both were pretty fantastic. All five of them finished in double digits in wins, too. Darling and Ojeda picked a great year for their career years.
