I just sent this to my district's congressman. I know a lot here don't think it makes any difference what the government does, but I bet the Samurai guys do right now. There's probably some lawyer here that knows how to do this better too, but I wanted to get something out before I never did. Finally, the way I wrote this is totally doxing myself. Obviously, you may not want to do that (I mean, that's the actual issue at hand, it's your choice what you want to reveal), but I'd rather go this route.
Hello Congressman not doxing where I live to y'all,
I would like to contact you concerning the Department of Justice action taken in the past week against the founders of Samurai Wallet, as well as the saber rattling by the FBI against others that might protect the fourth amendment. I am appalled that in the United States we have reached an era in which personal rights are not only disregarded, but those that might help Americans, as well as those abroad, protect them are being captured and imprisoned.
I intend to continue open use of technologies that are protected under the bill of rights (in this case the first and fourth amendments), regardless of them being criminalized until Congress calls a spade a spade, and repeals those amendments. As a husband, father of three, and opponent of money laundering, I ask that you do whatever you can legislatively to protect Americans from these agencies before individuals like myself are imprisoned for doing the right thing as well.
United States government agencies have arrested people for protecting Americans' rights and are threatening to do more. This is the inflection point.
Sincerely, not doxing my name to y'all
