I just don’t want to be constantly running a cost analysis in my head, even if it’s a small one. If there’s a website I’m paying for access to, I’d rather just have access to the whole thing for a fixed price. Pay to click/scroll/read/watch/etc is going to get a lot less overall engagement from me. That being said, I think it makes sense where you might want an engagement filter, particularly where anyone can contribute to the site (like pay 1 sat to post or submit a contact form, etc).

I think it depends the purpose. You can also use "boosts" as a tip, without having to pay. All up to the creator/builder.
