In the US, both the monetary base and the broad money supply are increasing again.
They bottomed in 2023 despite ongoing Fed balance sheet reduction, mainly due to Treasury's duration shortening which helped pull capital back out of reverse repos and back into banks.
Where do you think we go from here?
Banks are already closing....it can only increase in number.

I'm not much of a macro guy, but I haven't been expecting rate cuts and I still don't. The capital flight from China and the EU is letting the US off the hook a little bit.
They're terrified of deflation, though, so I think we'll muddle along with moderate inflation for the foreseeable future.
