pull down to refresh

today, has been a tough day. although i did some of the necessary things to move, and had some quality time with my coworkers, it was pretty hard to get through mentally and physically (i'm sick at the moment which doesn't really help). and i might have to see a doctor out here, which makes me both nervous and anxious.
trying my best to stay on the bright side of things and tell myself that everything is okay and fine, but you just can't help that it feels like it isn't.
i survived the day though, which i give myself credit for.
what are some things you do to keep yourself positive and in high spirits when it's tough?
let me know in the comments.
Think and or write about things your grateful for.
Know that tough times reveal your true character.
Dive into a productive or creative hobby, listen to music, and if need be, grit your teeth through the pain.

I think it’s by viewing everything as a gift. I even view bad things as a gift. Either because of what I’ll make of them or because they are a side effect of good gifts that they remind me of.
Pain and suffering are real but when they’re over or when we’ve learned to deal with them, it makes joy and pleasure that much better. It makes appreciating everything that doesn’t cause pain or suffering automatic. Pain and suffering are part of living, but living is a gift capable of so many other things. Pain and suffering are the cost of accepting the gift.

Going to Church and treating that a necessity is essential to my well being lately. Setting aside Sundays for rest is a useful practice I find.

I think about when times were hard in my past and then realize that one way or another, everything generally ends up being ok. I remind myself to focus on the things that I can control and remember that stressing myself out with worry, literally doesn’t do anything positive for my mindset.
Also getting quality sleep helps in the long run.

I don't. I let it eat me raw and alive, only to be spit out like some chewy sinew.
Embrace the shittiness, only then you're ready to start on the next "uptrend". 🌝😋🧡⚡
