pull down to refresh

Dear friends,
Allow me to share a fundamental insight that shapes my philosophy of life and deeply influences my actions and beliefs. As an ardent advocate of individual freedom and rationality, I see the human being as endowed with a crucial choice: the choice to be rational or to succumb as a suicidal animal.
Rationality is not merely an innate characteristic but a conscious choice that each of us must make. Our nature offers us this alternative: to be rational beings or to lose ourselves in self-destructive impulses. And it is this choice that defines our humanity.
To be truly human, we must actively make this choice. We must recognize our lives as invaluable values and commit to sustaining, enhancing, and protecting them. This requires a continuous and conscious effort to discover the values that are essential to our existence and to practice the virtues that lead us to achieve them.
In this context, I understand that a code of values adopted by choice is a code of morality. It is the foundation upon which we build our lives and social interactions. It is through this conscious choice of values and virtues that we shape our character and contribute to the well-being of ourselves and society as a whole.
Therefore, I invite all of you to reflect on this idea and embrace the responsibility of being rational and moral beings. By doing so, we not only elevate our own lives but also inspire others to do the same. Together, we can build a world based on reason, freedom, and individual achievement.
Thank you for your attention and for sharing in these ideals that are so dear to me.
Sincerely, John Galt
