PRAYER OF THE DAY - John 3:6*
Oh God, source of all life and light in the world, we come to You on this new day with humility and gratitude in our hearts. As you taught us in John 3:6, we recognize that what is born of the Spirit is spirit. We ask that You grant us the grace to be born again by the Holy Spirit, so that we can live in communion with You and experience the fullness of spiritual life.
Lord, we know that we are spiritual beings dwelling in earthly bodies. May we be renewed in our minds and hearts, allowing Your Holy Spirit to transform us into Your likeness. Enable us to live according to Your will, always seeking things above and prioritizing the Kingdom of Heaven in all our actions.
Help us, O God, to leave behind the old ways of living, marked by selfishness, pride and sin. May we take off the old man and put on the new man, created in Your image in true righteousness and holiness. May each new day be an opportunity for us to grow in grace and knowledge of You, O Heavenly Father.
May the Holy Spirit work in us, enabling us to live lives that glorify Your holy name. May we be channels of love, peace and hope in this needy world, reflecting Your light wherever we go. May our existence be a living testimony to the regenerating power of Your Spirit, drawing others closer to You.
Grant us, O God, the wisdom and discernment to understand the depth and truth of Your teachings. May we apply these truths to our daily lives, living in intimate communion with you and our brothers and sisters in Christ.
In the name of Jesus Christ, who gave us life abundantly through His sacrifice on the cross, we pray.
Amen.
In this verse, Jesus is teaching Nicodemus about the need for new spiritual birth to enter the Kingdom of God. He emphasizes that natural birth is only physical, but spiritual birth is necessary to have eternal life. This highlights the importance of spiritual regeneration by the Holy Spirit to experience true life in God.
Does everyone remember the moment they were born again?
During many moments in our life, we are born again, and normally this event causes us to change our way of thinking and acting in relation to our life as a whole. I remember a surgery I needed to have almost 20 years ago and the change it caused in my life. I remember the times I had relationships with other people and in some cases it was good and in others it was bad, and this also contributed to new rebirths, new changes. It's something very particular, but everyone knows the moment or moments in which the phase change occurred.
Thanks. I have had these experiences also, but wasn't sure if they "qualify."
Thank you for the donations
